Cryptocurrencies Looking To Gain Foothold In Russian Market

According to Wikipedia, a cryptocurrency is a digital asset designed to work as  medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency.

Global regulation of cryptocurrency is still in the early stages. In fact, many governments are not quite sure whether or not they are worthy of attention. Due to the decentralised and unregulated nature of many of the cryptocurrencies, the governments that are paying attention are worried about them being used in black market transactions.

There are several groups of Russian entrepreneurs that have launched cryptocurrency investment funds that look something like a mutual fund. Some of the assets in the portfolios include crypto-assets such as: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Monero, Zcash, Ripple, and Waves to name a few.

Many of these funds are very interested in attracting Russian clients who wish to diversify their ruble denominated holdings.
